How to Jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 Beta 2 With RedSn0w

Am I imagining things, or IOS 5.0.1 beta 1 has dropped only a few days ago? Now that we have iOS 5.0.1 beta 2? Anyway, no big deal for Jailbreakers, because as I said, iOS 5.0.1 beta 2 can be unlocked with the latest version of redsn0w.

How to Jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 Beta 2

Step 1: You can iOS 5.0 from the download page to download.

Step 2: Open redsn0w 0.9.9b8 (download here), and select Tools> Enter firmware> and point it to the iOS 5.0.1b1 or iOS 5.0 firmware. It should identify the firmware without error.

Step 3: Return to the main screen of redsn0w and place the device in DFU mode. Click jailbreak, Cydia and install select.

Step 4: The device must be jailbroken, but the Cydia icon will be white, since it is still a tethered jailbreak. Place the device in DFU mode again.

Step 5: Once again redsn0w from the home page, select Extras> Enter> point firmware and the firmware iOS 5.0. It must identify the firmware 5.0 or 5.0.1b1 without error.

Step 6: Select "Just boot" redsn0w is in the Tools menu, and must have a boat moored to have on your device.

Notes: This is a tethered jailbreak. You must identify redsn0w 0.9.9b8 5.0.1b1 for the firmware. Also keep in mind that if you jailbreak, you can use OTA updates. You have to restore from scratch in order to upgrade to the latest beta firmware.
