Do Not Update To iOS 5.0.1 If You Want To Jailbreak Untethered iOS 5

Yesterday we released have a post where we found about a member of the Chronic Dev Team claim to a bug that would help untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 spoke. Today, the same element has left fans know that if they jailbreaking their iOS jailbreak untethered device will remain, should keep away from iOS 5.0.1.

The news comes directly from pod2g - iPhone hacker and member of the Chronic Dev Team - sent in the form of an update from her Twitter account, in which he declared that people should, on jailbreaking the iOS 5.0.1 Plan to stay away, because of bugs and exploits that were recently found to be closed in the latest version of IOS.

From Twitter:
Note about 5.0.1 : don’t update if you plan on jbking : the bug Charlie MILLER found can simplify exploits dramatically and will be closed.
No detail was given about the bug, so we know at this point is that it discovered by security researcher Charlie Miller and "simplification" uses, so it is easier to jailbreak. This error should be in the iPhone OS 5.0.1, which will be published squeezed in a few weeks.

On being asked if iOS 5.0.1 would ever be jailbroken, this is what pod2g had to say:
@JKurtz87 I didn’t tell 5.0.1 would never be jbken but it will certainly take more time.
@NickAnema some dev may create a package on Cydia containing the differences between 5.0 and 5.0.1.
So people who want the iOS 5.0.1, for the important improvements upgrade - how to solve the problem, the battery consumption to solve the problem iPad 2 Smart Cover and the addition of multitasking gestures for iPad original - will have to make a compromise. Or get the untethered jailbreak, or get the better battery life.

If they do, however, decided to move to iOS 5.0.1, you can use the untethered jailbreak, but have to wait longer.
