Controlling Apple TV With Siri On iPhone 4S

When Siri was presented last month, did not take it to developers to play with the software and find innovative ways to use the function.

We reported on how creative developers a local proxy server, so set Siri with additional commands to a thermostat with Wi-Fi, introduced, for example. The most striking application made room for other new ideas. Another developer could even start your car with the new server.

Today we learned another developer has extended the boundaries even further. In this case, the proxy server is used to switch between the videos on your TV.

Make sure you have video below. He has saved movies and shows and live through a server-Plex. He then asks Siri to a particular program by name of the season and number of episodes, or just ask Siri to play, play the last episode.

Once the order is given, Siri will start the program or movie on the TV and almost immediately to confirm the appointment of the series title. If an episode or video is not in the server-Plex, Siri will let you know that video is not found.
Plex Media Server is a very good, I've used in my jailbreak Apple TV, and is very useful for non-Apple streaming video files. The only drawback with the use of small Apple Remote to navigate through the catalog. This new interface would make things much easier. Unfortunately for us, since the last Apple TV update (4.4.3) Plex incompatible. If you are an actual Plex for the Apple gadget sure to check to update a working version before installing.

To learn more about Siri representation, go to the github and visit the developers who created it. Note that you need very little programming experience and networks in order to get it to work, the project is a "super-pre-alpha".

The technology behind Siri is mainly due to Apple's servers. Access is at least not yet given to any third party developers. Maybe one day we will see more than just Siri our applications for the iPhone, but is also used. I would not mind checking my TV or even my Mac and not by voice.
