IOS currently uses an Apple-built Google Maps application. In other words, Apple does not even use the data from the application, but a shell, the product created by Google-houses. Without their own home-grown map application by Apple is the service that they can provide their customers is limited. This creates a dependence on Google by Apple and Google, a direct competitor with the Android operating system, it seems, it may be time to reduce this dependence.
With the purchase of C3 Technologies, Apple now has three companies under their name in the creation of a new Maps application, which only their will. As you recall, Apple bought the base in 2009 and last year bought Poly9. Poly9 is also a 3D mapping company and shows that Apple is more severe than the creation of this new feature. C3 Technologies uses declassified government documents, a missile guidance method for the detail of the buildings, trees and even smaller objects, which in turn is used to compete with Google Street View could make.
As I said before, this creates an advantage for Apple to cut the proverbial umbilical cord and keep the giant who are independent. I know that before I decided to spend an iPhone 4, I used to navigate within Google Maps directions to get anywhere with my car. I've always been impressed by the Google Maps application and I'm excited to see what Apple will bring to the table. We have recently seen seen that Nokia has brought their application HTML5 card on other devices via a Web browser to move others to a better mapping experience, was to bring tons of users.
To give you an idea of how C3 is impressive, check out the videos we have embedded below:
I think we do not see the new cards to the next generation of IOS IOS, at least, I would not hold my breath again. We will do our best to keep everyone up to date we get more information about them. This may be reason enough for Apple iPhone to a larger screen in the next generation decides that the cards are easier to read while driving.
If it is interesting to see how these cards out with C3 Technologies jaw dropping, then you should definitely see this video:
