Apple To Release Devices With Curved Glass Displays in 2012 [REPORT]

According to a new report released today, Apple has on portable devices with curved screen release next year.

The report comes from the usual pair of enterprising people of DigiTimes - a breaking-news coverage devoted to the supply side of the semiconductor industry and electronics. They point to industry sources, Apple has shown that plants for the production of devices with curved glass claim purchased.

Curved glass displays are not very traditional at this time, there are only a smartphone, we know that with a curved screen (marketed as a side display), which means that Nexus. Obviously, manufacturers are looking touch screen smartphone curves to win is an advantage over Apple, but according to reports, Apple is interested in them.

From DigiTimes:
Suppliers of the non-Apple camp are working on products with curved cover glass in attempts to gain a competitive edge in the handheld device market dominated by Apple, sources in the glass industry said.
But Apple reportedly also has bought glass polishing equipment for its suppliers in preparation for the production of devices fitted with curved cover glass.
If it be true, companies like glass lens technology, Fuji Crystal iPhone and G-Tech provides those preparing the display for iPod touch and Apple iPad products.

There are some interesting advantages that touch screens are curves than conventional flat ones. First, it is easier to type, how to find your fingers curved surfaces more comfortable. Secondly, the phone displays the most folded stuck with your face.

This is not the first time we are interested in hearing about Apple curved touch screen, a report has suggested that Apple could be in May for the implementation of a curved glass in the iPhone 5 from to try, but all recent reports seemed to dispel this rumor. The two advantages we mentioned above, good performance, but are not very significant. When was the last time you heard that the phone does not feel right to your face? Never.

But I think it would be a plus for typing.

The industry sources claim that these devices will be released sometime in 2012. With all the reports that suggest that the iPhone 5 is launched next months, we will not think that the next iPhone will be available with a curved screen. for the iPhone 6? Sure, maybe.
