Downgrade iOS 5.0.1 To 4.3.3, 4.3.5 On iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad 2/1, iPod touch [Tutorial]

iOS 5.0.1 is released - and chances are, you can search for a downgrade to a previous version of iOS, for one reason or another. Today, guides us on how to do just that, you can restore the version of iOS you are comfortable with.


Before proceeding, but keep in mind that you can downgrade only if previously SHSH blobs for which version of iOS (only in 4.x) alleged that they want on a downgrade. These security checks, because some used by Apple to make sure that people on the latest version of iOS stick. It 'also important to note that at the time of writing, iOS 5.0 firmware is not signed. You can downgrade to iOS 5.0, provided it is signed by Apple. The Apple iOS 5.0 now stops signing, is the cure to downgrade, even if the SHSH blobs that are saved. NOTE: This guide does not apply to iPhone 4S, as there is no jailbreak yet public.

Step 1: Download the version of iOS that you downgrade to:
Step 2: Connect the device to your computer via USB cable IOS. Start the Device Firmware Update (DFU mode). To do this, you must first disable the device, press and hold the Power + Home buttons for about 10 seconds, release the Power button while holding down the Home button for an extra 10 seconds. You will know when in DFU mode, then this is when the screen turns off completely.

Step 3: Go to Windows > System 32 > drivers > etc etc on Windows or OS X. Locate a file called hosts, a backup and open it with a text editor.

Step 4: Add the following code and save the hosts file:
74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com
Step 5: Open iTunes and select the iOS device from the sidebar. Click and hold down the Shift key (Windows) or Alt (on OS X), click Restore and select the firmware file you downloaded in step 1.

Step 6: You can blame 10xx will be after its completion, but there is no need to worry.

You must download a program such as TinyUmbrella or Recovery Fix, open it and click Finish to restore the error.

That's it!

Last but not the least, make sure you revert the changes you made to hosts file in Step 4 above to start receiving future iOS updates normally in iTunes from Apple’s servers.
